This is me!

Hi! My name is Nathaniel, you may call me Nat. I like to play chess, play the violin and drink coffee. I am 29 years old this year and oh boy how time flies. Speaking of time, let me take you for a stroll. Scroll down.

This is me about a decade ago!

My interest for design and technology began in my years as a student. At that time, I like to play with my imagination and participate in competitions. I was part of robotics club and I had a privilege represent Singapore for a water rocket competition in Melbourne Australia.

I had great times!

That's me on the right with my physical prototype for my final year project for my diploma in Industrial Design. After graduation, I served the army for my National Service before working in a gold and silver dealership for almost 5 years. As a bullion executive, I had the opportunity to learn how to empathise with customers and find solutions by understanding their goals, needs and challenges.

I made my time fruitful!

I volunteered with National Kidney Foundation where I accompany patients and promote public health awareness about the importance of kidney health. I was a guest speaker for Kidney Care Conference 2019 at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. I am also part of the Legion of Mary apostolate where I hold a position as praesidium secretary since Sep 2022. I record meeting minutes and collaborate with officers on various projects for our community and contacts within and outside the church. Lots of typing and lots of opportunities to be a listening ear!

Now it's time to embrace good UX!

That's me on the left at General Assembly. Joining UX Design Immersive Bootcamp has been one of the best decision I have made in my life-long learning journey. With almost 5 years of experience in shaping customer experience through sales and customer service, and a strong interest in the design process through my Diploma in Product and Industrial Design, I am eager to transition into a UX design role where I can leverage my understanding of people's needs and design thinking. I do not identify UX Designers as just 'a role'. It is a noble cause and a vocation to promote good design to will the good of others. I aspire to serve as a bridge between customer needs and business objectives while ensuring optimal user experience.
