Good UX isn’t confined to the four sides of our digital screens. Good user experience should surround us and integrate into our daily lives.

I recently had surgery at Changi General Hospital and appreciated the simple details that enhanced my experience as a patient. I took this photo to show the visual guide that the hospital offers to help patients find their way to their next location. It’s not perfect, but it does the job effectively. This is just one example of the many good UX elements the hospital provides, showing how they keep the patient's journey in mind both inside and outside the ward.

Being a pixel pusher does not make us designers. Being a designer is a vocation to will the good of the users, extending beyond the digital space.
